Michael P. King is a staff photojournalist at the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, Wisconsin. He specializes in sports, local community
news and multimedia storytelling.

Before moving to Wisconsin, Michael earned a degree in photojournalism from Ohio University's School of Visual Communication.
He has previously worked for the Green Bay Press-Gazette, The Post~Crescent in Appleton, Wis., The Associated Press,
The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch, and the Evansville (Ind.) Courier & Press. Michael's work has been recognized by CPOY, the Ohio
and Wisconsin News Photographers Associations, and the National Press Photographers Association. He learned management and
editing practices at The Kalish Workshop in 2009, and took part in the Eddie Adams Workshop and AP's Diverse Visions/Diverse
Voices workshop.

King is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Press Photographers Association.

He is available for freelance work anywhere, provided it does not present a conflict of interest with his employer.
